Our aim

The Maternity Research Network has been established so that local people who have used maternity services and are interested in maternity research can work alongside researchers at the University of Nottingham to develop and inform studies.

Our research

The Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group undertake studies into the care of women, babies and their families in normal labour and birth, including:

  • Preparation for labour
  • Early labour
  • Place of birth

We also study the organisation of maternity care, and professional issues for midwives and the wider maternal health workforce.
